Inventory Category 

Overview

The Inventory Category is used to categorize goods in the warehouse. These categories help to organize the goods under specific types, such as Finished Goods, Raw Material, or Damaged Goods, depending on the material.

Steps to Create an Inventory Category

1. Go to the Warehouse Master Module.
2. Click on the Inventory Category submodule.

   

3. Click the Inventory Category button (plus button) to add a new category.

   

4. Fill in the details:
   • Inventory Category Name – Name of the category (e.g., Finished Goods, Raw Material, Damaged Goods).
   • Operating Unit – The unit where this inventory category will be displayed.
   • Select the Inventory Category Type – Choose a type such as Fresh, Damage, Shortage.
   • Optionally, you can provide a Description of the category.
5. Click on Create to save the new inventory category.
